Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults

Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults

Christchurch Borough Council and East Dorset District Council (The Partnership) are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, as well as protecting vulnerable adults who may be at risk of being abused or harmed.

The Partnership recognises that we all have a responsibility to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults and has developed a safeguarding protocol to ensure that effective practises are in place for all of the Partnership’s activities.

Should you have any safeguarding concerns whilst visiting or using Highcliffe Castle, please contact a member of staff and ask for the manager, David Hopkins.  He will discuss your concerns and decide whether any further action is necessary.  Should it be decided further action is required the matter with be passed to the Councils Safeguarding Lead Officer.

The Partnership is a statutory member of the Dorset Safeguarding Children’s Board (DSCB) and the Dorset Safeguarding Adults Board (DSAB). Should you require more in-depth safeguarding information please visit the following web-sites:
